Social Media

           SOCIAL MEDIA (GOOD OR BAD?)

It is without a shred of doubt that social media is of utmost important in our world today. Connecting people, easy, fast and cheap communication and much more. But like every good thing, it has its vices that sometimes makes me wonder if its worth it.

-Violation of privacy: People can now track others movements and you never really know who has got it bad for you.
-Negativity: To me, this is the greatest vice associated with social Media. As you log in to facebook or twitter each day, you see pictures or stories of people who have died. People younger than you or your age mates. Graphic images of various kinds that expose the wickedness that human beings are actually capable of. Accidents, Natural disasters, diseases like ebola and a lot more. It is really scary. Although this might be informative, to an extent it is destructive.
It actually broke my heart to hear a 12 year old child alter the words "Life is too short". This is because kids and adults are exposed to all this graphic content online. We should be able to hold unto positivity as long as possible. These stories, pictures and articles take away our innocence and hope for the best.
Yea, I am not disputing the fact that evil exists. I'm saying, in the midst of that, we should still believe in good. In life and we should live in a world where we do not expect evil at every Conner. Especially for us Christians, we believe in God and he is a higher power. Rather than looking around and believing in negativity and living in fear, we should believe in what Gods word says. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Think positive, speak positive, reduce the negative information you see, read and hear daily and you will experience positivity.

I Just had to share this...
